about

I’m especially excited to share this track as this is the first self-mixed & self-produced release in this pandemic. Decided to simplify the production to what you would hear if you heard me perform it live. Hope the song encourages someone who might need to hear these words to feel a little bit less like they're alone in this world.

lyrics

I’m tired of walking round this road
Thinking that I’m all alone
Feeling I won’t sleep again tonight
But I’m ok, I’ll be alright inside
Just thought that I should tell you that

Not looking for the perfect words
Or bandaids; They're for the birds
Feeling this will never subside
But I’m ok, I’ll make it through the night
Just thought that I should tell you that

The sun won’t always seem to rise
And I’m always chasing after signs
I should know better than that
But I’m okay, I just run away sometimes
Just thought that I should tell you that

At times I feel like giving up
Despite an overflowing cup
But when it rains, it pours inside my heart
But I’m okay, I'll try today to be strong
Just thought that I should tell you that

Just like Saul I was on the road
Blinded by a man in tow
I gave it all up just to be a light
But I’m ok, as a castaway in this life
Just thought that I should tell you that

Till I lay it all beside your heart
And finally rest inside your arms
Tell you how I really feel inside (ohh)
That I’m not ok
I’m slipping away
inside
I just thought that I should tell you that
I just thought that I should tell you that
